Further is a platform, collaboration and experiment that offers insights into young contemporary photography in Europe and beyond – sometimes poetic, always complex, with a passion for storytelling. Further is the annual publication by the association Fotobus Society. The association unites around 1700 members, mostly photography students, across the continent.

Each issue of further features 34 projects by members, as the physical blue bus with which we travel to photo festivals also has exactly 34 seats. The featured projects, selected through an open call, are positioned in the spectrum between documentary and conceptual photography, testing and crossing boundaries.

I was the part of the editorial team of further 04 and further 05 together with with co-editors Antonia Teichert, Noemi Ehrat, Nina Weymann, Clara Schöttke and Fabian Jurk. Many other fotobus members have been involved in varying capacities.
